ASID Texas Chapter Dallas Design Community is ringing in the Holiday Season with merriment and cheer at the new Legacy West home of ASID Industry Partner Frontgate! Frontgate is pulling out all the stops with an amazing showroom decked to the nines, new showroom previews and an amazing swag bag for the first 100 designer registrants!
Enjoy delectables from Del Frisco Double Eagle, paired with luxe signature cocktails, while carolers and a DJ deliver sweet notes of Holiday Cheer and Dancing! Enter to come home with Amazing Raffle Prizes, with ticket sales benefiting Vogel Alcove! Also in Partnership with D Home Magazine.
Vogel Alcove: Every year we adopt a charity for our holiday fundraiser. This year we have selected Vogel Alcove, a non- profit agency that helps homeless children in Dallas. Every day Vogel Alcove serves as many as 200 children in order to help them learn, grow, and thrive in a place free from hunger and trauma. This allows their parents, mostly single mothers, to have to the opportunity to work, look for work, or go to school. Vogel Alcove gives homeless families a chance to overcome their circumstances. Frontgate Legacy West has also generously committed to donate 10% of the day’s proceeds to Vogel Alcove.

The Dallas Design Community is one of five design communities that make up the ASID Texas Chapter, which is part of the larger American Society of Interior Designers [ASID], a community of people – designers, industry representatives, educators and students – committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing and advocacy, the Society strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively impact and change people’s lives. Of the Society’s 24,000 Practitioners, 20% practice Residential design, 30% practice Commercial design, and 50% practice both. The ASID Texas Chapter represents 1,700+ Practitioner, Educator, Student and Industry Representative members (almost 1,100 of which are Practitioners and/or Educators) throughout the state of Texas excluding the greater Houston area, which is covered by the ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. Since the Texas Chapter is quite large both in membership and in geographic expanse, most of the programming throughout the year takes place in the Design Communities: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and West Texas. Our members work in both the residential and commercial fields, either as sole proprietors or as part of small or large firms. Within the state and around the world, they provide valuable services and useful products to their clients. Our members strive to improve the quality of life for all of their clients through the creation of aesthetically pleasing, thoughtful design that takes into account the health, safety and welfare of the public.
